Student Classification

Degree Students
 
Overseas Chinese Student
Those who follow the “Regulations Regarding Study and Counseling Assistance for Overseas Chinese Students in Taiwan”, and undertake an Undergradute, Master’s or Ph. D degree by University Entrance Committee for Overseas Chinese Students are called “Overseas Chinese Student”.
 
Mainland Chinese Degree Student
Chinese Student for short.Those from Mainland China who follow the “大陸地區人民來臺就讀專科以上學校辦法”, and undertake an Undergradute, Master’s or Ph. D degrees by University Entrance Committee for Mainland Chinese Students are called Chinese Degree Student.
 
International Degree Student
Those who follow the Degree Student Admission application procedure and understake an Undergradaute, Mater's or PhD degree are called "International Degree Student"

Non Degree Students

International Exchange Student
Those who apply for 1 semester or 1 academic year by recommendation from Partner Schools are called “International Exchange Student.”

Mainland Chinese Exchange Student
Those who apply for 1 semester or 1 academic year by recommendation from Mainland Chinese Partner Schools are called “Chinese Exchange Student.”
